I spent a night here, and found everything in good order. For the price it is an excellent hotel. It is clean, well looked after, and has a human on reception (I've stayed at comparably priced hotels that automate reception). If you're used to more expensive hotels you will find the rooms compact, but they have everything you need; the bed was comfortable, and the bathroom clean and fully functional. The breakfast was acceptable. It is excellently located next to the park. I will be booking again.

4 - 7 January 2026 Twin Bedroom Food: 5/5 Excellent. The breakfast buffet was very extensive with all the elements of a traditional Full-English breakfast. I especially loved that you can have eggs cooked to order for no additional cost. Every morning I enjoyed fresh, hot scrambled eggs. A great start to the day! Service: 4/5 Very Good. Breakfast serving hours and gym room opening hours need to be advised during check-in. On my first evening, I desired to use the gym at 20h but was informed it closed at 19h. As an exception, since I wasn't informed, I was allowed to use the gym, but informed moving forward the gym is open from 7h to 19h. I was appreciative because the gym was a major factor in selecting the hotel to maintain my weightlifting routine. Ambience: 5/5 Excellent. The front lobby is beautifully decorated with a mixture between English traditional and some modern touches. I would prefer to not have a television in the lobby, but at least the programs were peaceful nature shows, etc. The breakfast room is nicely arranged with comfortable chairs and bright painted walls. Everything feels well-arranged. The neighborhood is fabulously posh, adjacent to Hyde Park, and a beautifully apartment-converted Victorian Gothic church. Well-connected to the bus and metro systems. Very central and convenient! Cleanliness: 4/5 Very Good. There were some visible scuff marks on several walls and baseboards of the room and hallways. While not "dirty" in terms of hygiene, it adds small moments of shabbiness. However, the room and bathroom were clean, fresh, and hygienic. Value: 5/5 Excellent. We visited during low season after the New Year's rush, therefore we acquired the rooms for about £150 per night with breakfast included for 2 guests. I am unaware of their high season pricing. For Central London, for the quality of accommodations, space, and services, this is an amazing deal! Overall: 4.6/5 Excellent. The next time that I visit London, I will definitely be researching available rooms here. My mother is very particular about hotels and she said that she would stay here again too. Excellent hotel.

Me and my friend (both 19) went on a quick trip to London for a concert and some sightseeing, and we chose this hotel for its cheap cost. Pros: Great location! Just minutes from the tube, and a bus stop even closer which can take you into the very heart of the shopping streets. It was clean, and the staff were very nice. They went above and beyond to try and find a blanket we could borrow so we didn’t have to share one. The AC was very needed, since we visited during the heatwave of the summer. Their hotel breakfast was just okay. Cons: The rooms were very small. The elevator also didn’t reach the highest floors, so we had to climb extremely cramped stairs to get to our rooms. The hallways and staircases are narrow, keep that in mind! You could also hear other guests walking by outside, and hear what others did in their rooms when passing by. Also, we had a room where the bathroom fan wasn’t working, so after showering the whole room got really humid and warm. Overall, it works for a shorter stay, and we thought it was worth it!

Really great budget friendly hotel in a very central area! I had a single room which was very small, but the space was used well. Only downside to the room was that there were no hangers or hooks to hang any clothing. Other than that, it was quiet, the bed was ok on the comfort scale and it was immaculately clean. The bathroom appeared brand new and was also immaculately clean! Check in was really quick and the person who attended me was very friendly! The hotel lobby was very welcoming and very stylish. Overall, I would definitely recommend if you’re looking for something near Paddington which is very budget friendly for London.

The rooms are great, the bathroom is quite small, this hotel is alright for a few days max. The location is amazing. My only issue, I was placed on the ground floor so whoever was above me I could hear a lot of activity. Walking around, creaks & banging. This was going on through the night & morning. However despite that issue. The hotel was nice & the staff are lovely.

We had 2 nights at the Commodore. I cannot fault the hotel; it's very clean and modern. Our suite room was fantastic and looked newly refurbished. The staff were lovely and the breakfast buffet was very good at a decent price. Lots of choice and again, very clean and tidy. Great location, close to Hyde Park and Paddington Station. Some banging doors occasionally, but that did nothing to take away from an overall great stay. Highly recommended!

Thank you for a wonderful stay at Hotel Commodore My son and I stayed at Hotel Commodore on Lancaster Gate in early February 2026, and we can honestly say that our experience was more than excellent. From the very beginning, we had a positive impression – the hotel is clean, well-organized, and the staff are extremely friendly and helpful. The lobby, where guests can relax with complimentary coffee and tea, creates a warm and welcoming atmosphere that makes you feel at home. The rooms are very clean and decorated in pleasant, warm colors, which made our stay very comfortable. The breakfast deserves a rating of 10 as well – it is abundant, self-service, and offers a great variety of food. Another very important point is the location. The hotel is perfectly situated next to Hyde Park, and many museums and major attractions are within easy walking distance. The surrounding area is beautiful and very well maintained, making walks truly enjoyable. Overall, our experience at the hotel definitely deserves a 10 out of 10. We highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting London.

I was very impressed with the two-bedroom apartment. It offered ample space and was exceptionally clean, having been recently refurbished. The location adjacent to Hyde Park is superb. The staff exhibited remarkable friendliness. The absence of an elevator was a minor inconvenience. ⬆
